SUMMARY:CSNM Webinar - Andrew Haley - Built Ready: Resilience\, Precision & Leadership in Nutrition
DESCRIPTION:Date: May 6\, 2026 – 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT\nCE Point:  Competency 1.0 \nTitle:\n\nBuilt Ready: Resilience\, Precision & Leadership in Nutrition \nDescription:\nNutrition and foodservice leaders work in one of the most demanding\, high‑stakes environments in healthcare. Every tray\, every allergy check\, every handoff\, every decision — it all matters. And while the work is often unseen\, its impact is life‑changing. \nIn this powerful and practical webinar\, Paralympic champion Andrew Haley shares how resilience\, preparation\, and precision shaped his journey from a childhood hospital bed to the top of the podium — and how those same principles define excellence in nutrition leadership today. Through compelling storytelling and direct links to CSNM’s core competencies\, Andrew reveals how elite performance isn’t about perfection; it’s about consistency\, systems\, teamwork\, and the ability to “build ready” long before the moment of pressure arrives. \n\nParticipants will explore the rhythm of resilience (Adapt–Recover–Recommit)\, the parallels between high‑performance sport and high‑performance nutrition systems\, and the essential leadership behaviours that strengthen teams\, protect patients\, and elevate care. They’ll also be reminded of something profound: you may never meet the people you save — but your work saves them anyway. \nThis session will leave nutrition professionals feeling seen\, valued\, and equipped with a renewed sense of purpose\, professionalism\, and pride in the work they do every day. \n\nPresenter: \n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Andrew Haley\nI am on a journey to inspire and teach as many leaders as possible to commit to their own GOLD MEDAL MOMENT. I want to encourage my audience to never give up and strive to achieve both personal and professional excellence that will help guide them to reach their full potential. I’ve had many setbacks in my life\, including losing part of my right leg as a child to cancer and being given only a 35% chance to survive. I didn’t want to just survive\, though; I wanted to show people I could be something special despite my circumstances. As a competitive swimmer\, I would become a World and Paralympic champion\, and that eventually led to a hall of fame career. \nHow we show up every day is important to me\, and I am fired up when I can deliver tangible strategies to help my audience pursue their own dreams. I learned that success is built on preparation and having a champion’s mindset\, combined with controlling the controllable. This is available to anyone who wants to win in life. My job is to guide you to get there one day at a time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
