of CSNM conferences. We were thrilled to receive 673 responses—representing approximately
20% of our membership, which provides us with strong, meaningful insights to guide future
planning.
Here are a few high-level highlights and how CSNM is committed to this feedback:
- Professional development, networking, and keynote speakers remain the top reasons
members choose to attend. We are pleased to report that our upcoming 2026
Conference has all of this and more!! - A hybrid conference format is the preferred option for many members. Keep an eye out
for your emails for this year’s live-stream options during our 2026 Conference. - Shorter conferences (primarily 1–2 days) are favoured over longer formats. The team is
taking this into consideration for 2027 and beyond. - Cost, location, and time away from work are the biggest barriers to attending in-person
conferences. This is top of mind as we look to future Conference locations and
programs. - The majority of members support continuing an annual conference, though timing and
affordability are key considerations. The feedback provided during this survey is being
reviewed closely, and we appreciate the time so many members took to provide their
voices.
Your feedback is invaluable and will directly shape how we evolve CSNM conferences to better
meet your needs.
